Transparency

In November of 2025 Municipal Candidates and Elected Officials were to register and log onto the Guardian 2.0 website. However, that contract failed to produce a deliverable. Then the original Guardian site was supposed to be reworked to allow Municipal Candidates and Elected Officials to file our Quarterly and Pre-Election reports. On Tuesday, January 27, 2026 I called the Oklahoma Ethics Commission to ask what I was supposed to do. I was essentially told to hang onto all my financials and wait till the website was live. Then I was told it would not be live even by election day February 10, 2026. I believe Ward 4 voters should have transparency. Campaign finance reporting is information that lets the public know who is contributing to campaigns and how that is being spent. We live in an imperfect world, but we don’t have to accept shortcomings when there are workarounds and the will to be honest and forthcoming.
